I have gone over the possible storing mechanisms and have ruled out several. The floopy drive is out because of the problem with communicating to the drive, and the problem of keeping a power source to the drive, as standard power sources are very bulky. The PCMCIA drive is also out because of costs. I have ruled out RAM SIMMS because of the problem of keeping a power supply to the chip (otherwise the meory would be lost.) FlashROM technology seems to be the best type of storage device. Either Flash cards of EEPROM chips are cheap, and there have already schematics available from people who have already had success with a project such as this.
